5008 system

Dialysis treatments with the hemodialysis system 5008 can be performed with minimal additional equipment. The hemodialysis system controls and monitors the dialysate circuit and the extracorporeal blood circuit.

All entries are made via a highresolution color monitor (touch screen). The current treatment data are shown.

In the dialysate circuit, permeate is heated, degassed, mixed with hemodialysis concentrate, and delivered to the dialyzer. Inflowing and outflowing volumes, the pressure at the dialyzer is adjusted according to ultrafiltration rate and the type of dialyzer used.

Via the extracorporeal blood circuit the blood is transported through the dialyzer. The blood can be continuously heparinized.

An air bubble detector prevents the infusion of air. Any dangerous loss of blood is prevented by a blood leak detector, a fluid detector and by monitoring the venous return pressure. The arterial pressure monitoring unit allows to detect the incorrect position of the needle in the vessel.

The mixing ratio, the Na+ concentration and the bicarbonate concentration may be programmed within certain limits.

The hemodialysis system also allows programming of Na and UF profiles.

ISO-UF (isolated ultrafiltration without dialysate flow) may be performed.

The dialysate flow can be adjusted from 100 to 1000 ml/min, in increments of 100 ml/min. The AutoFlow function automatically adjusts the dialysate flow, depending on the blood flow.

The hemodialysis system reflects the latest state of technology. It is equipped with all safety systems required for its function and for patient safety.

The device may only be installed, operated and used by individuals who have the appropriate training, knowledge and experience.

5008S system

The hemodialysis system enables extracorporeal blood treatments of patients suffering from renal insufficiency.

The hemodialysis system controls and monitors the dialysate circuit and the extracorporeal blood circuit.

By default, the hemodialysis system is configured for treatments using the ONLINE procedures. In this case, the AutoSub plus function automatically optimizes the volume of the substitution fluid.

There are four keys on the monitor; these are located outside of the color touchscreen area. All entries are made via a high-resolution color monitor (touch screen). The current treatment data is shown on the display.

In the dialysate circuit, dialysis water is heated, degassed, mixed with hemodialysis concentrate, and delivered to the dialyzer. Inflowing and outflowing volumes are balanced volumetrically. In the extracorporeal blood circuit, blood passes through the dialyzer. The blood can be continuously heparinized using the heparin pump.

An air bubble detector is used to prevent the infusion of air. A blood leak detector, a fluid sensor, and monitoring of the pressure levels in the extracorporeal blood circuit help to prevent blood loss. Arterial pressure monitoring detects suction of the needle to the vessel wall of the
patient's vascular access.

The hemodialysis system is designed for both acetate dialysis and bicarbonate dialysis. The mixing ratio, the Na+ concentration and the bicarbonate concentration can be programmed within specific limits. The hemodialysis system also allows the programming of Na and
UF profiles.

ISO UF (ultrafiltration without dialysate flow) can be performed.

The dialysate flow can be adjusted from 100 to 1000 ml/min, in increments of 100 ml/min. The AutoFlow function automatically regulates the dialysate flow, depending on the blood flow rate.

The hemodialysis system employs the latest technology in its field. It is equipped with all the necessary safety systems, both for operational
reliability and for patient safety. It complies with the requirements of IEC 60601-2-16.

4008S system

The 4008S hemodialysis system allows performing full dialysis treatments. The dialysis machine operates and monitors the dialysate circuit and the extracorporeal blood circuit.

The required treatment parameters can be entered via various menus provided for programming and displayed on a high-resolution LC display. The current treatment data are shown on the display.

In the dialysate circuit, purified water is mixed with hemodialysis concentrate, heated, degassed and delivered to the dialyzer. Inflowing and outflowing quantities are balanced volumetrically. The pressure at the dialyzer is adjusted depending on the ultrafiltration rate selected and the type of dialyzer used.

The DIASAFE®plus option permits hemodialysis treatment with high-purity dialysate. The DIASAFE®plus option basically consists of one filter stage. For the entire time of its use the filter is an integral part of the hemodialysis machine and is rinsed and disinfected in conjunction with the machine. The integrity of the filter is tested by means of a pressure holding test which is integrated in the functional test of the hemodialysis machine. The filter can be used for a maximum period of 12 weeks. Should the filter fail to pass the filter test, it must be replaced at an earlier date. For the use of this option, the quality of the water and the dialysate must comply with the applicable standards.

In the extracorporeal blood circuit, the blood is continuously heparinized and passes through the dialyzer.

An air detector prevents infusion of air in the patient’s blood vessels. Any dangerous loss of blood is prevented by a blood leak detector and a device monitoring the venous return pressure. The arterial pressure monitoring unit detects any intake of the needle in the vessel.
